Charity for The Great East Japan Earthquake

The Exhibition from the Collection of Sompo Japan

We are pleased to announce that from June 4 (Sat.) to July 3 (Sun.) we shall be holding a new exhibition entitled “The Exhibition from the Collection of Sompo Japan. ” This exhibition will be the second installment of “Seiji Togo and his design works.”

“The Exhibition from the Collection of Sompo Japan” will focus on works owned by Sompo Japan and the Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum of Art which we have not had the opportunity to exhibit to the public on very many occasions up until now. Among these works are those which are used to decorate the offices of Sompo Japan, major creations and sketches by Seiji Togo that have not been exhibited in a long time, works that were once a part of the personal collection of Seiji Togo, and other works of award-winning artists held by the Museum. We hope that you will use this opportunity to become better acquainted with the pieces in our collection and that you will delight in the wide variety of works to be put on display.

The full amount of all entrance fees collected during this exhibition shall be donated to a charity operated by the Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum of Art to be contributed to the Foundation for Cultural Heritage and Art Research, in response to the call for cooperation in saving and recovering cultural properties damaged by The Great East Japan Earthquake issued by Agency for Cultural Affairs.
