Basic Policy on Personal Information Protection

The SOMPO JAPAN NIPPONKOA Fine Art Foundation (hereinafter, “the Foundation”) has established the Basic Policy on Personal Information Protection as follows and shall make efforts to protect personal information.

  1. Compliance with Laws, Ordinances, and Regulations
    The Foundation shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in the Administrative Procedure, and other relevant laws, ordinances, and regulations, and handle personal information in an appropriate manner.
  2. Acquisition and Use of Personal Information
    The Foundation shall acquire personal information by lawful and fair means and within the scope necessary for its operations. Except as otherwise provided by laws and ordinances, the Foundation shall notify or disclose the purpose of use of personal information, and handle the data within the scope of the purpose of use.
  3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
    The Foundation shall not provide the personal information of individuals to third parties without their consent, except as otherwise provided by laws, ordinances, and regulations. The Foundation shall not provide personal numbers and specific personal information to third parties, with or without their consent, except as otherwise provided by laws, ordinances, and regulations.
  4. Management of Personal Information
    The Foundation shall take steps to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of personal information, etc. and take appropriate safety management measures. In the case of entrusting the handling of personal information to another party, the Foundation shall exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the party.
  5. Management Structure for Personal Information
    The Foundation shall provide thorough training and guidance to executives and employees, etc. to ensure the proper handling of personal information. The Foundation shall also continuously review and improve the management structure for the protection of personal information.
  6. Response to Inquiries regarding Personal Information
    The Foundation shall properly and promptly respond to complaints and consultations regarding the handling of personal information. In addition, the Foundation shall appropriately deal with any request made by individuals to disclose, correct, etc. their personal information in our possession in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
